Be Careful What You Wish For

Apa kabar duniiaaaaaaa?????? Gw masih ada disini, baik-baik saja, dan tetap memasak demi menyelesaikan challenge yang gw bikin sendiri. Tenang aja. Cuma, karena dilanda rasa malas yang luar biasa. Ditambah, udara di Sydney yang semakin dingin, sehingga even untuk menggerakan jari-jari rasanya malas sekali, maka... belom diposting foto-fotonya.

Oke, back to the topic. Be careful what you wish for. Udah berapa kali denger? Udah sering? Sama dong... Tetep aja ya kita masih suka gak mikir waktu "wishing". Well, kalo wish pas birthday sebelom tiup lilin, pastinya udah dipikirin. Tapi kalo "wishing yang main-main" kaya lagi bercanda gitu, pernah dipikirin gak??

Seperti yang saudara-saudara ketahui, dulu gw tinggal di Singapore, terus karena getting married to this particular guy, I moved to Australia. Kemaren, tanggal 2 Mei 2012, tepat satu tahun sudah gw meninggalkan Singapore (hix.... *lap air mata*). Jadi, hari terakhir gw kerja, ya hari terakhir di bulan April. Kalo ga salah, waktu itu 29 April adalah hari Jumat. Begitu lah.

Banyak juga yang tau kalo gw ketakutan setengah mati gak dapet kerjaan di Australia kan?? Yang mana terbukti, gw ditolak berkali-kali karena gw ga punya either local qualification or local experience. Sucks. Yes. Indeed. Gw yang "hanya" lulusan indo ini, sungguh ga dipandang sama sekali. Ya ampun, malang amat ya gueeee.... Padahal kuliah dulu sampe begadang-begadang, pake air mata, tangan sampe kebeler cutter gara-gara bikin maket, pake acara diputusin mantan dengan semena-mena menjelang ujian *eh, curcol*.... yuuukkkk.... (Ayo rame-rame ketok kayu tiga kali biar ga ada yang nasibnya sama).

Ajaib banget, setelah semua drama penolakan-penolakan, singkat cerita, gw dapet kerjaan bow!!! Okay, this is not a full time permanent job, not even something that match my background, kaga ada hubungannya samsek lah sama skill gw. But at least, this is the first time the ball rolls. Dan hari pertama gw kerja adalah.... jreng.... 2 Mei 2012. Creepy??? Belom dong... masih lanjut nih ceritanya.

Dulu, waktu gw mau resign & memutuskan buat pulang for good dari Singapore, banyak yang nanya sama gw, "Ntar abis kawin mau kerja di Australia?", atau "Kenapa ga balik Singapore lagi aja?", atau semacamnya. Gw suka bercanda, jawab kurang lebih begini, "Iya dong, ikut suami ke Australia, mau seneng-seneng, gw mau cuti setaon sekalian ah....". Itu purely sebuah becandaan. Eh kejadian loooohh.... ya ampuuunn!! Kemaren pas berangkat kerja, di kereta gw baru sadar. Gw sampe shock!!! Ya ampun, kejadian beneran, serem amaaaaatttt.....

So yeah.... Be careful what you wish for.... even cuma becanda, hati-hati dengan mulutmu!! Kalo kata orang, takut pas ngomong ada setan lewat. Kalo kata agama gw, telinga Tuhan itu mendengar.

Give Thanks

Dikarenakan gw orangnya kurang bersyukur & kurang memahami bahwa hidup yang gw punya sekarang ini udah enak, gw "memaksa" diri gw buat bersyukur at least once a day. Gw akan menge-tweet satu kalimat ucapan syukur per hari.

Acara syukur bersyukur ini gw mulai kira-kira seminggu yang lalu dan gw baru bolong sekali hahahaha^^ Bukan "baru" ya itu, tapi "udah"??

Menanak Nasi

Ehm..... it's a big shame for me to write this sebenarnya. But in the other way, I'm so proud of myself too :) Kemaren adalah pertama kalinya gw menanak nasi.... dan berhasil loh!! Yup, kemaren baru pertama kalinya. Bukan pake anglo atau pake dandang yang keren gitu lah. Pake rice cooker biasa!! Yah.... what to do?? I was born in a not-so-rich-but-enough-to-have-two-maids family, hihihihi^^

Kata Russel nasinya enak... The moistness and the softness (and hardness too) of it were just nice, hihihihi^^ Jadi senang!!

Kemaren juga kita beli furikake, buat dimakan bersama nasinya. Ih enak amaaattt!!! Gila gila gila... Orang jepang kok pinter banget sih bikin makanan?? Apa itu furikake?? Kalo menurut Russel & Candela... itu another form of abon, atau abon-nya orang Jepang. Lebih jelasnya silahkan dilihat disini.

PS: Tentu saja bukan hanya makan nasi + furikake. Tapi si Russel masak cereal chicken (modification of cereal prawn, hahahaha^^) dan miso soup.

I bought my first-time-ever cotton on dress last weekend and found out that the cheapest place to buy cotton on is in New Zeland, followed by Singapore >> Even tho it's coming from Australia.

Why Diamond??

This morning, a friend of mine popped up with this question:

JF : Mendingan beli diamond apa gold??
Me : Gold... Kalo diamond kan harganya turun. Buat apaan sih?
JF : Bukan... ini buat engagement.
Me : Owh..... wah kalo itu ya diamond lah!!


The question is... Why if we think about engagement ring, we'll think about diamond ring rather than normal gold ring??

Well, I do know that diamond is very expensive. More expensive than gold, obviously. So here it is, I think they choose diamond, because...
They are more expensive : To show you that you are soooo precious, as precious as this precious stone.
The price would be terribly down when you sell it back : Because you're not suppose to sell it!!! The person gave to you wants you to keep it your whole life because you are precious.

Ha?? Me watching Asia TV series?? Yes. Jarang² kan?? Memang... Dengan kata laen, film ini pasti bagus sekali. Jadi ayo yang belom nonton, silahkan loh jeung....

Anyway, looking back to my life, how many good chance I've left behind?? I think it's a lot. Some of them are regarding work experience and carrier opportunity, some of them are regarding my love life and most of them are regarding my relationship with my family... I think I've lost so many chances to cherish my family....

Ugh... miss them a lot!!

Singlish vs. Indo-lish

"Ih, koq lo singlish sih sekarang?? Males banget deh, jijik gw dengernya"

BIARIN!! Daripada elo, indo-lish banget!! What's wrong with singlish?? Okay, it's not a perfect english, tapi namanya bahasa sehari², ya suka² dong!! Gini aja deh, berkaca dulu, apakah kita pernah berbahasa Indonesia yang baik dan benar?? Kita rubah bahasa Indonesia sedemikian rupa supaya jadi nyaman untuk digunakan sehari-hari kan??

Dan sebelom ngata² singlish, hey, berkaca dulu (lagi), bahasa Inggris lo kaya apa?? Some of my friends can say something like these:
"I want to go there on weekend deh" (Gw mau kesana deh ntar weekend)
"Can not be like that dong..." (Ga bisa gitu dong)
"After this, we go there ya" (Abis ini kita kesana ya... *dengan aksen indonesia banget*)
"If not that one, ya this one" (Kalo bukan yang itu ya yang ini)

Sebelom ngata²in singlish, apalagi bilang "jijik", benerin dulu bahasa Inggris lo!!

Cinta Bisa Datang Karena Terbiasa

"Cinta bisa datang karena terbiasa", direct translation: Love comes because we are used to be with him/her.

I can't imagine if someday I'm not with Russel anymore. Will I survive?? That means, nobody will treat me to watch the movies that nobody-want-to-watch-except-me anymore. Nobody will accompany me for dinner (almost everyday). Nobody will buy me and accompany me looking for clothes for hours. I really am used to this situation, when Russel is always there for me.

I wonder... Is it why I love my Russel so much?? If yes, I think I'm doing something wrong then.

Watch your mouth!!

Yesterday, out of the blue, my Russel sent me this sweet flower:

Well, since Im a big fans of white rose, white lily and sunflower, I felt blissful for receiving this well arranged flowers. So I dropped a "personal status" on my facebook, "Received a 'Sunshine Shower' (^.^) Thanks Russel" and I tagged my boyfriend. I've got a few comments from my friends, showing their happiness for me. I replied and commented on the status as well.

Anyhow... me and my best friend, jokingly, talked about the price of the flower. But of course we didn't really take it serious. Because I really love the flower no matter how much the price was. And suddenly... a comment appeared... shocking and ruined up my mood. Huff.... It was something sounds like this: "The price in this flower shop is much much cheaper, compare to the shop where my boyfriend bought me...LOL :)"
WTH?? Who cares?? I felt annoyed... And what's the point of telling me this anyway?? And her comment before that was telling me the price of the flower. Was she purposely go to the website and check the price?? Was she trying to point out that my boyfriend only bought me a cheap gift and I shouldn't be too happy for it??

Maybe, she didn't mean it. Maybe she was trying to say that her boyfriend was overpaying and he should've found a cheaper shop, or.... I dont know.

I think I should take this as a lesson. That we should think before we speak out something. We should re-consider everything that gets out from our mouth.
