The question is... Why if we think about engagement ring, we'll think about diamond ring rather than normal gold ring??
Well, I do know that diamond is very expensive. More expensive than gold, obviously. So here it is, I think they choose diamond, because...
They are more expensive : To show you that you are soooo precious, as precious as this precious stone.
The price would be terribly down when you sell it back : Because you're not suppose to sell it!!! The person gave to you wants you to keep it your whole life because you are precious.
errr.. karena konspirasi dari pengusaha dan penjual diamond? brainwash lewat iklan2 dan segala macem sampe engagement identik sama diamond ring.
ReplyDeletewell, for me it's not the price that matters, but it's the characteristic of diamond itself that counts. Yah, mereka bilang berlian itu batu yang keraaaas banget dan sulit untuk terbentuk. Makanya berlian sering dipake untuk mendescripsikan sesuatu yang berharga sekali.. Mungkin karena inilah kenapa pake berlian, sebagai tanda bahwa hubungan mereka itu sangat berharga dan bertahan sekuat berlian ini..
